Vacuum product and solutions company Busch Group last month inaugurated a new office space for its South African sales company in City Deep – an industrial suburb in Johannesburg.

Covering a total area of 2 600 m², the new building offers plenty of space for further growth and development, and houses offices, training rooms, a warehouse, a service centre, a system building zone, and a clean room for the servicing of Pfeiffer Vacuum products.

“With the new building, the Busch Group is positioning itself as a leading provider of vacuum solutions on the African continent. Thanks to our comprehensive range of products, services and technical expertise, we are well positioned to support the development and growth of key sectors across Africa. Our focus is on service and proximity to the people and companies using our products,” explains Busch Africa MD Sean Pieterse.

The three brands of the Busch Group – Busch Vacuum Solutions, Pfeiffer Vacuum and Centrotherm Clean Solutions – offer a comprehensive product portfolio. This makes the Busch Group a one-stop shop that creates added value for customers and fully meets their requests.

“The complementary product portfolios of our companies enable us to meet the needs of our customers in a special way. This makes us unique and sets us apart from our competitors,” adds Busch South Africa technical director Reeza Hoosen.

The new main office also houses the Busch Group’s logistics centre for the African continent as well as rooms for customer training. A roof garden provides outdoor seating. The building is largely powered by its own solar panels and has rainwater collection tanks that can hold 45 000 ℓ of water.

Construction on the 5 500 m² site began in November 2022, but the new office space is now fully ready for occupation by Busch employees.

Busch Vacuum Solutions Africa has additional sales and service offices in Cape Town and Durban in South Africa, as well as in Ghana, Kenya and Egypt.

Meanwhile, in Europe, Pfeiffer Vacuum, a member of the global Busch Group, in March announced the opening of its new workshop and office premises in Upplands Väsby, Sweden.

To accommodate its business growth, the company transitioned to “state-of-the-art” and climate-neutral facilities from which it will further drive its business development in close partnership with Busch Sweden.

The company stated that the new premises would be an asset in the close collaboration between the two companies, further underscored by the decision that, on June 1, 2024, Busch Sweden MD Åsa Jönegren would also become Pfeiffer Vacuum Scandinavia GM. The previous acting GM Andy Widell noted that he looked forward to the common future of Pfeiffer and Busch in Scandinavia, emphasising the shared commitment to provide enhanced products and services to customers.
