ASX-listed Black Rock Mining, through its majority-owned subsidiary Faru Graphite, has finalised  two full form offtake agreements with key industrial customers Muhui International Trade and Qingdao Yujinxi New Material.

The company will supply from the Mahenge mine, in Tanzania, 15 000 t/y of large flake concentrate (about 100 mesh) under each offtake contract for a total of 30 000 t/y.

The buyers have an option to purchase an additional 10 000 t/y of any uncontracted volume under each offtake contract.

These agreements mark a pivotal step forward for the Mahenge project, solidifying commitments for the production of large flake graphite concentrate.

CEO John de Vries emphasised Mahenge's competitive edge in producing a higher ratio of high-value large flake graphite compared with other mines currently in operation.

The agreements with Muhui and Qingdao underscore Black Rock's strategy to extend its supply chain into heavy industrial sectors, leveraging Mahenge's capability to deliver premium graphite products.

Mahenge is set to capitalise on increasing global demand for graphite, particularly in applications requiring high-quality large flake products. With these offtake agreements in place, Black Rock positions itself strategically to advance towards project financing and development, buoyed by strengthened partnerships with key industry players.
