South African State-owned Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB) have signed an agreement to expand joint training, deepen technological collaboration in air traffic management and strengthen regional integration to boost aviation safety and efficiency.

The agreement cements the long-standing partnership between the organisations that has been built on aviation training, technology exchange and collaborative initiatives that have advanced air traffic management and safety across Southern Africa, they say.

The agreement was signed by ATNS chief customer solutions officer Sandile Hogana and newly appointed CAAB CEO Captain Thuto Toise during the Presidential Summit of the Sixth South Africa–Botswana Bi-National Commission, held from May 18 to 21.
