The Plastics SA Academy for Learning and Development has launched a plastics-related Plastics Manufacturing Machine Setter trade apprenticeship programme that is a National Qualifications Framework Occupational Qualification Level 5 programme.

“The programme reflects years of dedication to creating expertly curated and peer-reviewed training content,” says Plastics SA Academy head Kirtida Bhana.

The programme focuses on three-volume manufacturing processes, and equipping apprentices with the cutting-edge expertise required in this specialised field.

“Investing in trade apprenticeships like this ensures a skilled workforce and positions South Africa as a global competitor in plastics manufacturing,” she says.

Through this training, companies can enable their employees to achieve a trade qualification that sets them apart in the industry.

By enrolling their staff members for ongoing training and skills development, businesses access industry-specific training material that guarantees quality and effectiveness from the outset, she says.
