ExxonMobil affiliate ExxonMobil Guyana is the operator and holds a 45% interest in the Stabroek block. Hess Guyana Exploration holds a 30% interest and CNOOC Petroleum Guyana holds 25%.

Project Description
Whiptail is ExxonMobil’s sixth Stabroek block development.

The development will include up to ten drill centres, with 48 production and injection wells, and add about 250 000 bbl/d of oil capacity. This will bring Guyana’s production capacity to about 1.3-million barrels a day.
