Project Description
The project is an expansion of Enbridge’s existing East Tennessee Natural Gas system. It proposes to build, operate and maintain about 197 km of 76-cm-diameter pipeline and associated facilities.  

The project will provide about 300 000 dekatherms (dth) a day of new firm natural gas transportation capacity and up to 95 000 dth of customised delivery service from multiple providers to the site of Tennessee Valley Authority’s Kingston fossil plant.  

The expansion  includes:

East Tennessee also proposes to remove about 38 km of previously abandoned-in-place pipe segments along East Tennessee’s existing 56-inch-diameter Line 3100-1, associated with various prior pipeline replacement projects. East Tennessee will relay the new 76-inch-diameter Mainline pipe into the same trench.
