ASX-listed Kali Metals has announced the appointment of Paul Adams as MD from July 1.

He will take over the role currently held by Graeme Sloan, who will step down as MD, but remain with Kali in a nonexecutive director role.

Adams, who has 20 years’ experience in the mining industry and ten years’ experience as head of equities research at a Perth stockbroking company, is currently an executive director of Kali shareholder Kalamazoo.

Adams will transition to a nonexecutive role at Kalamazoo.

“Paul brings a strong combination of high-level technical expertise, experience and commercial insight to the role and is well-placed to maximise the potential of Kali Metals’ highly prospective exploration portfolio,” said chairperson Luke Reinehr.

Kali, which listed on the ASX in January, has a portfolio of exploration assets across Australiai’s hard-rock lithium fields. Its 3 854 km2 exploration tenure is located near existing, emerging, and unexplored lithium and critical minerals regions in Western Australia, including the Pilbara and Eastern Yilgarn and the Lachlan Fold Belt in New South Wales and Victoria.
