GTI Energy appoints Hartmann to board

Clean fuel group GTI Energy has appointed Denver-based in situ recovery uranium technical and executive leader Matt Hartmann to the board of directors.

Hartmann joins the ASX-listed company’s board following a period in which he had been instrumental in guiding exploration and development at GTI’s US uranium projects in collaboration with the Wyoming-based team.

He will transition to nonexecutive duties at, or around the time, of completion of the planned Lo Herma drill programme and will continue to provide technical and commercial guidance to support GTI as it progresses towards a scoping study for the project.

“The US uranium sector has strengthened in 2024 and is poised to return to meaningful uranium production in the near term. GTI has established itself over the past three years in Wyoming and has assembled a portfolio of compelling uranium projects that would suggest the company is undervalued in the current uranium market. I look forward to continuing to work with the board to advance GTI’s US assets, especially at Lo Herma, which we plan to drill shortly,” commented Hartmann.
