Earlier this month, Tesla’s Elon Musk presided over a ground-breaking ceremony in Shanghai, China, where the company is building its first car-production site outside of the US. The ceremony took place amid heavy rain and followed on from four years of planning. Bloomberg reports that Tesla anticipates investing $5-billion in the facility, which is expected to begin producing Model 3 cars by the end of 2019.
