Exploration and development company Gibb River has successfully completed the previously planned Aboriginal heritage clearance survey over the mining lease making up the Ellendale diamond project.

The heritage survey was conducted in the first week of June and the final written report from the survey is expected in the first week of July.

Gibb River’s Ellendale project covers the historic workings at the E9 pipe and associated higher grade alluvial deposits north of E9.

The survey provides heritage clearance to restart mining over the main areas at £9 being targeted for re-establishing diamond production at Ellendale.
