Platinum group metals (PGMs) and chrome miner Eastern Platinum (Eastplats) has appointed a special committee, comprising independent directors George Graham Dorin and Xin (Alex) Guan, to investigate allegations made by a whistleblower.
The company points out that the allegations include undisclosed related party transactions for the sale of chrome concentrate at discounted prices.
Dorin and Guan will, together with independent counsel retained by the committee, conduct an investigation into the allegations and, if deemed appropriate, provide recommendations to the Eastplats board of directors on any necessary steps that may need to be taken in relation to the allegations.
