Firm supplies anchors to Southern African mining

EQUIPMENT CAPACITY OUTLINED EJOT notes its that concrete fasteners are well-equipped to address a variety of mining industry challenges in Southern Africa

Building and fastening manufacturer EJOT has supplied the mining industry in Southern Africa with the "top-of-the-line” Liebig range of high-capacity concrete anchors.

The Liebig concrete anchor range includes the largest range of undercut anchors, and the world’s highest capacity concrete anchor, the Ultraplus M36.

The Liebig Superplus is said to be the world’s only self-undercutting anchor and offers the easiest installation for the highest load capacity. The company says that all that is required is a drill hole from any concrete drill bit and a torque wrench to set the anchor. “No setting time, no special drill bit or setting tools required.”

EJOT highlights that it can customise the length of the anchor to suit the application. The company adds that deeper setting depth results in higher capacities and the anchor can also be used as a rock anchor. Further, custom lengths can be made in quantities as low as four anchors. It also has the widest range of head styles available, including countersunk heads, and European Technical Assessment-approved clamping ranges up to 300 mm.

The whole range of Liebig Superplus and Ultraplus anchors is available in coated carbon steel as well as A4 or high corrosion-resistant stainless steel.

The Liebig range of anchors offers the Southern African mining industry a variety of unique and innovative solutions. Its offering includes anchor sizes up to M36, capacities of over 300 kN pull-out and shear resistance, and customised anchors, as well as enabling much easier installation.
