Gold miner Caledonia Mining Corporation produced 20 773 oz of gold at its Blanket mine, in Zimbabwe, during the quarter ended June 30.

This is a 19% increase on the 17 436 oz produced at the mine in the second quarter of 2023.

The mine’s output for the six months ended June 30 was 37 823 oz, a 13% increase on the 33 472 oz produced in the first half of 2023.

The company maintains its full-year gold production guidance at Blanket of 74 000 oz to 78 000 oz.

"Blanket mine continues to provide a solid foundation for growth as we prepare to become a multi-asset gold producer. Production in the first half of 2024 was excellent and has exceeded our expectations,” says Caledonia CEO Mark Learmonth.
