Hydraulics, pneumatics and automation group Bosch Rexroth Africa opened its first branch in Côte d'Ivoire, in June, to meet the increasing demand for its hydraulic, pneumatic and automation solutions in that country.

To serve the needs of mining, industrial and energy industries in Côte d'Ivoire, the branch will offer the full range of Bosch Rexroth Africa Group products and services.

This includes sales, training, service work, hose and fittings workshops, and consignment stock of filters at project sites, the company says.

Côte d'Ivoire’s dynamic economy, coupled with ongoing infrastructure developments and increased mining, positions it as a key market for Bosch Rexroth Africa.

“With a robust economy and a forecast yearly GDP growth of 7%, Côte d'Ivoire presents substantial opportunities for growth and innovation. By establishing a local presence, we look forward to delivering our cutting-edge solutions,” says Bosch Rexroth Ghana GM Alex Booth.

The branch will contribute positively to the local economy and community, with a commitment from Bosch Rexroth Africa to local upskilling and employment.

“We will ensure a direct impact on the community and a seamless integration into the local business ecosystem through the use of local employees, resources and services,” he says.

Bosch Rexroth Africa regional president and Bosch Rexroth South Africa CEO Chris Riley and Booth will serve as branch directors. Bosch Rexroth Ghana administration manager Kenneth Amoo will serve as the country manager for the branch.

Côte d'Ivoire is the eighth African country in which the group has a presence. It has more than 35 branches and more than 20 distributors in Africa to serve customers across sub-Saharan Africa.
