PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Copper/gold miner Aeris Resources is reviewing its mine plans at its Jaguar zinc/copper operations, in Western Australia.

The company on Friday said that production at Jaguar was below plan for the fourth quarter ended June, and that over the past few months, three separate mining-induced seismic events had been experienced in the lower levels of the mine.

These events have interrupted production activities and delayed access to higher grade stopes, prompting a review of the mine plans for the 2024 financial year.

For the full 2023 financial year, Jaguar copper production of 3 057 t met guidance, while zinc production of 22 479 t was below the guidance range of 24 000 t to 29 000 t.

Meanwhile, Aeris on Friday said that the company’s Tritton copper and Cracow gold operations had both reached their production targets for the full year. Mining activities at the Mt Colin copper/gold project, in Queensland, were in line with plan, while a 70 000 t processing run scheduled for June at the Ernest Henry processing plant was deferred until the first half of July.

Aeris is expected to deliver its quarterly report later this month.
