The US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has issued Arizona Lithium a permit for a drill and bulk sampling programme at the Big Sandy project, in Arizona.

The ASX-listed company is now set to start a long-awaited follow-up drill programme at Big Sandy, which currently contains a resource of 320 800 lithium-carbon equivalent.

Drilling of 131 holes and a bulk sample is planned for July.

Arizona has only drilled 4% of the project area to date. The upcoming drill programme is set to test the validity of the estimated exploration target of between 271.1-million tonnes to 483.2-million tonnes at 1 000 parts per million (ppm)  to 2 000 ppm lithium.
