JSE-listed Mpact has appointed Hannes Snyman group CFO and executive director of Mpact and Mpact Operations with effect from June 1.

He will succeed Brett Clark, who is retiring on May 31.

The board thanked Clark for his contribution to the group since he joined Mpact in 2012.

Snyman is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) and holds an MBA degree (with distinction) from the Warwick Business School, in the UK, and a Bachelor of Accountancy Honours degree from Stellenbosch University.

He was group corporate finance manager of Mpact from May 2014 to December 2021.

In that role he was instrumental in arranging and implementing the group’s bank funding, share buyback, broad-based black economic empowerment restructuring and various acquisitions and disposals, Mpact points out.

He also contributed extensively to the group’s strategic planning and played a key role in other investments and a number of major capital projects undertaken during that period, it adds.

Since January 2022, Snyman has been the divisional commercial manager for Mpact Recycling and an executive director of Recycling Consolidated Holdings, a group subsidiary.
