Lufthansa is thrilled to announce the introduction of its innovative Allegris seat cabins to Cape Town from 27 October 2024. South African travellers will now have the opportunity to experience the luxury and comfort of Lufthansa's Allegris First and Business Class cabins on flights from Munich to and from Cape Town. The Airbus A350 will also offer new seats in Premium Economy and Economy Class.

René Koinzack, Lufthansa's Senior Director Sales Southern & East Africa, Nigeria, and Equatorial Guinea, expressed his excitement about this new development, stating: "We are delighted to bring the Allegris seat cabins to Cape Town only five months after its introduction. This will mark a significant milestone for Lufthansa's presence in the region. This new offering will enhance the travel experience for our passengers and further solidify Cape Town as a key destination in our network."

Flights featuring the Allegris cabin will be available for booking from Cape Town to Munich, showcasing the full range of products and services that Lufthansa has to offer. More information regarding pricing and benefits for status customers will be released closer to the launch date.

When booking Allegris Business Class, travellers can reserve a specific seat initially during the introductory phase free of charge with the classic seat reservation. This seat will provide all the amenities and comforts of the new product. Additionally, passengers can choose to upgrade to seats with extra comfort, such as the Business Class Suite, Extra Space Seat, Privacy Seat by the window, and Extra Long Bed, for an additional fee through the seat reservation system.

In addition to the new cabin product, Lufthansa will increase the weekly frequency to Munich from five to seven weekly flights. In total Lufthansa Group will offer 17 weekly flights as of late October to their hubs in Frankfurt (six weekly), Munich (seven weekly) and four weekly flights with Edelweiss to Zurich.

Lufthansa remains committed to providing exceptional service and a premium travel experience for passengers flying to and from Cape Town and looks forward to welcoming travellers onboard their Allegris seat cabins in the near future.
