FUCHS LUBRICANTS SOUTH AFRICA proudly hosted a successful Technology Seminar Day in collaboration with DMG MORI on 26 March 2026 in Isando. The event welcomed around 50–60 external guests, including industry partners and customers, along with representatives from both organisations, for a full day focused on innovation, technical expertise, and strengthening the FUCHS–DMG MORI global partnership.

The day opened with a welcome from Andrew Cowling, Sales Director, on behalf of FUCHS LUBRICANTS SOUTH AFRICA. Senior leaders from DMG MORI then shared strategic insights, including Dr. Michael Budt with a warm “Welcome to DMG MORI,” followed by Mahmoud Aly, Managing Director of DMG MORI Africa, who highlighted the company’s “In Africa for Africa” approach. Managing Director of DMG MORI South Africa, Shuntaro Hasegawa, provided a concise overview of local operations.

The agenda continued with engaging technical presentations. Michael Mayer, Head of the Die & Mold Excellence Center at DMG MORI, explored the future of MX transformation in precision industries. This was followed by Mahmoud Aly’s session on DMG MORI’s MedTech capabilities, emphasising the importance of high-precision machining. Guest speaker Tanya Vogt, Executive Officer of SAMED, shared SAMED’s vision for a more inclusive, sustainable, and socially responsible MedTech sector in South Africa.

After lunch, the programme moved to one of the day’s key highlights: a joint presentation by Michael Ziegler and Moritz Klas on the global FUCHS X DMG MORI partnership, centred around the theme “We Collaborate – You Benefit.” They demonstrated how the combination of FUCHS’ lubrication expertise with DMG MORI’s machining technologies delivers tangible value to customers. This was followed by a presentation from FUCHS Applications Engineer Jarryd Tate and Industrial and Speciality Sales Manager Ashleigh Pollen, who showcased how FUCHS’ lubrication solutions and aftersales services support and enhance DMG MORI machines for long-term performance and efficiency.

The day concluded with a guided tour of the FUCHS LUBRICANTS SOUTH AFRICA factory, giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at blending, manufacturing, and quality control processes. Attendees gained firsthand insight into the scale, precision, and expertise that drive our operations.

The Technology Seminar Day proved to be a resounding success, underscoring the strong partnership between FUCHS LUBRICANTS SOUTH AFRICA and DMG MORI and our shared commitment to advancing innovation and supporting the future of precision manufacturing across Africa.
