Cape Station is expected to become the world’s largest next-generation geothermal development by installed capacity.
The project is expected to add 500 MW to the grid once complete – enough to power an estimated 355 000 homes a year.

$421-million in nonrecourse debt financing for the first phase of development, to 100 MW.
Planned Start/End Date
The project will start delivering first power to the grid in 2026, reaching about 100 MW of operating capacity by early 2027.
