Project Description
The Atapu field has been producing oil through the P-70 floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit, with a production capacity of 150 000 bbl/d of oil, since 2020.

Phase 2 of the development, Atapu-2 (P-84), will comprise a newly built FPSO with a capacity of 225 000 bbl/d and a processing capacity of ten-million cubic metres a day of gas.

The project has been designed to minimise greenhouse-gas emissions through an all-electric configuration and technologies such as waste heat recovery, closed flare, cargo oil tank gas recovery and variable-speed drives for compressors and pumps.
