Malaysia's State-controlled Petronas has made another gas discovery at offshore Block 52 in Suriname, bringing the total to eight successful exploration finds with more than one-billion barrels of oil equivalent, the company's COO says. Petronas is expected to make a final investment decision this year to develop the offshore natural gas reserves after declaring its Sloanea discovery commercially viable, while first output from Suriname's offshore resources led by TotalEnergies is on track for 2028.
Petronas joint venture launches construction on Indonesian gas fieldPC Ketapang II, a unit of the Searah joint venture between Italy's Eni and Malaysia's Petronas, has begun physical construction work on its Bukit Panjang gas field in East Java, aiming to reach production in 2028. The field is expected to reach peak production of 50-million cubic feet of gas a day and will be integrated into the company's existing infrastructure in the Ketapang working area.
Lynas appoints Le Roux interim CEO as Lacaze retiresLynas Rare Earths has appointed Pol Le Roux interim CEO effective July 1 as it searches for a permanent successor to Amanda Lacaze, who retires at the end of June.
