World steel demand may grow 5,9% in 2007

26th March 2007 Global demand for steel is expected to rise by 5,9% in 2007, taking the total to 1 179-million tons, the International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI) said on Monday. This is an increase of 65-million tons compared with 2006, when global steel demand rose by 8,5%.
