A magnetostrictive level transmitter used for high-accuracy, continuous level detection of liquids now also features long insertion lengths.

The new FLM-Tx-FLEX model from WIKA is fitted with a flexible probe tube in the form of a stainless steel spiral armour.

A magnetic foot at the lower end of the sensor serves as a ballast weight while also fixing the stainless-steel corrugated tube to the tank floor. The flexible probe tube gives the FLM-Tx-FLEX an advantage in installation in applications with low ceiling clearances. The flexible design also makes transport easier than with a rigid probe. Interface measurements are also possible with the flexible version.

The transmitter is available in probe lengths between 1.5 m and 22 m. The accuracy is ±2 mm and explosion-protected versions are also available.
